Growing flowers and designing with seasonal blooms and foliage from the garden is what feeds our soul. It fuels our creative spirit to produce our best work.
We've been busy expanding our cutting garden and honing our growing skills so we can focus on exclusively using our own homegrown blooms.
Using our own blooms allows us to continue creating our signature organic, lush, and textural arrangements at a lower price point because there's no middle person.
In the process, we’re drastically cutting down on excess waste, lowering our carbon footprint, and providing habitat for native urban wildlife. Everyone wins!
So. How does it work?
The Bloomwood Floral cutting garden—about 1,300 square feet of urban farmlet formerly known as our home’s lawn—offers 100+ varieties of blooms and foliage each year.
Our garden produces thousands of blooms each year, but that’s nowhere near what an actual flower farm produces. This translates to us requiring a lot of creative freedom with your designs—we aren’t able to accommodate very specific color palettes or certain flower requests from our relatively postage-stamp-sized farmlet.
Feel free to request a general color palette—blushes and pale neutrals, or deep jewel tones, for example—and we will work with the in-season floral treasures blooming at the time of your event. If we’re short on something in the garden, we’ll supplement with blooms from local growers only. Your overall wedding style comes into play when we select hard goods like vases and votives from our extensive inventory.
We have no minimums and love to design for small, intimate events. We offer a set menu of design options, with clear pricing included, along with options for studio pick-ups or adding on our delivery services for an extra fee (delivery availability will be very limited).
